Primary and secondary fluids

Can someone please clarify what fluids fall under each category?

    My guess would be

    Primary- maintainance IVs such as NS, D5 NS, etc

    Secondary would be IV antibiotics, etc.

    99% of the time primary fluids/lines are the maintenance and secondary is an antibiotic or supplement etc.
