Question

Preparing for interview with DON

Dear New Grad,

Good job! Clearly you did well in your first interview. Preparing for an interview with the DON is no different than preparing for your initial interview.

You already were successful with behavioral and situational interview questions. If you are prepared to answer typical questions such as Tell me about yourself” and Why should we hire you?” then you are ready and ahead of the game.

The key to a successful interview with the DON is to be yourself and make a positive impression. Project confidence with a firm handshake and eye contact. Maintain good body posture, shoulders back and head up. Remind yourself that they like you. You have been chosen and have made it this far.

I have a hunch what they are really saying is We like how handled yourself during the interview and our impression of you. Let's get the confirmation of the DON.”

I think you got this! Good luck, friend!

Nurse Beth
