preparing for CPNE, courses

Published

I am hoping to get thru the LS1-2-3 within the next couple months. Are there courses to prepare that are outside of excelsior? Offered by excelsior? How do I find out about them? I live in NY, but would travel a bit for the right training! I only want to take CPNE ONCE!!! :heartbeat

Thanks for any advice!! K

are you enrolled in EC already?

Hi N1Colina, What are you doing to prepare? Just the study guide, or are you attending any classes/seminars? I live downstate NY, in Dutchess county. Do you have a date yet for CPNE and where? Thanks!

Tasha, yes I am enrolled. Scheduled for LS1 next week. Been taking a test about once every 3-4 weeks. Really want to get all three of these LS1 done within 2 months, so I am really going to be picking up the pace after Christmas! Busy holidays have slowed me down :grn:

Hey k3104- I am taking the CPNE March 11th, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY. I just bought Rob's CPNE dvd, and the flash cards through Excelsior College. I cannot afford a workshop, but I might attend an online conference or two....not sure yet.

Oh i get what you are asking now...sheesh i was half awake when i read your post! LOL...I know EC offers different workshops for the CPNE but they are around 750 and have heard mixed things...some say its good others say it confused them more..Iv'e heard of Robs DVD, Sheri Taylors workshop, Lynn Fredricks workshop, Tina's workshop..you seriously could probably google CPNE workshops, or CPNE prep and see what comes up. I plan on going to Sheri Taylors workshop, only because I have used RNBridgeProgram.com - LPN to RN Bridge Program | Parmedic to RN Bridge Program | and she is the one who is the tutor for that as well =) Good luck to you, I have LS3 left to do of nursing, then lifespan psych, micro, and humanities so just about the same amount!
