i have an interview at suny downstate midwifery program, i am very nervous and anxious , i am not very good in front of people when i am nervous. there is a writing assignment and then the actual interview. i hope you guys can give me any recommendation. any thoughts or comments is very much appreciated thank you

take some time and think about all the questions that more then likely will come up during this interview and think out what you want your response to be. focus on the questions like "why do you want to join midwifery" and "why this program" chances are good they will stick to questions dealing with ethics & personality and just try to figure out who you are (and who knows you better then you!). also try to think about why you would be really good in this program and eventually in this position once you finish school, keep replaying these things in your head so that your nerves do not overtake your confidence. good luck and keep us posted on how it goes!!!

Reheorifice... ideally in front of some people that you don't know very well. Have a good friend prepare some tough questions and be ready to answer them in front of the group. Populate the group with parents of your kids' friends, acquaintances from church or the health club, fellow students that you don't know very well, etc.
About 5 times a day, practice your positive self-affirmations.
Relax and be yourself. Consciously relax during the interview. Think about relaxing and being calm.
