PLEASE HELP with delegation and assignment

I am confused with delegation and assigment to LPN and nursing assistant. I have a book by La Charity and i find myself weak with delegation and assignment. I am always confused because in La Charity, an LPN can also make monitoring and some teachings. Please help me.. :( I'm taking my nclex-RN soon.

I will try to help you according to the book.

DELEGATION for LPN cannot administered IV if your not IV certified and its limited but you cannot hang potassium, heparin, TPN , push iv, you cannot discharge nor admit admission. FOR ASSIGNMENT LPN you cannot do 1st assessment/admission and new symtoms, you can have a patient are already stable condition/assignment such as wound dressing change.

FOR CNA;

they can empty foley

assist w/ ADL (activity daily living)

assist w/ walking ( 1st assesment need to be evaluated w/ PT)

taken v/s included checking blood sugar

GOOD LUCK.
