Please Answer This!!

Hello everyone, I am new to AllNurses. I always check the Wa threads and Its pretty slow, hopefully I will get some good answers. I am still working on my pre reqs. But next year I would like to apply to the schools around my area and some not. Seattle Central, Tacoma CC, Bellvue CC, Shoreline, Lake WA, Peirce CC, and Highline CC. Okay I would like to know the reputations of these schools from a nurses prospective and some experiences ppl have had at these schools. I am applying to all so any insider info on these schools would be great.:wink2:

Hey, I dont actually know much about the community college nursing schools. I do know a couple of people who have gone/are going through bellevue cc and haven't had problems with it. I would say go for Seattle schools just because I did my clinicals in tacoma hospitals and didn't really like them! :)

I have heard that the tacoma schools do a lot of clinicals in nursing home atmospheres so. Most ppl including me would rather go to a hospital.

well, i hate to break it to you...but i'm pretty sure every school starts out their first clinical in a nursing home. Its just kind of how it goes to get those "basic" skills down. I did start out in a nursing home, but that was my only clinical that i had there and i think its safe to say that most schools do the majority of their clinical in a hospital setting, even Tacoma ones! :)
