Passed with 265!

So my NCLEX experience was terrifying, as is everyone else's regardless of if you get stopped at 75 or 265. All summer, I studied Kaplan, used my Saunders NCLEX prep book and looked over ATI. I studied for probably 6-8 hours a day, especially the week before the test. I was getting between 55% and 63% the majority of the time, which wasn't terrible, but wasn't the 65% Kaplan wanted you to have. I felt pretty confident after talking to my friends that Kaplan questions were probably harder than some of the NCLEX questions....boy I was wrong. I started the test (and let me start by saying I have TERRIBLE test anxiety) and answered questions as confidently as I could. My stomach dropped when I passed 75, and 100, and 150 until I reached 200 and knew I was in it for the long haul. I felt like I couldn't breathe and that I didn't know anything anymore. What had I been studying?? Four hours later, the minute the test stopped at 265 and I walked out, I burst into tears. Now, 48 hours later my name says RN on the BON website, and Pearson says I passed. I feel so blessed. Remember to breathe in the exam, expect all 265, and expect to feel like you failed. This test is vicious. And if you take Kaplan, REALLY try for the 65%. It will save you a lot of anxiety!

I also passed with 265 on 7/23/2015, I was there for 5.5 hours!!! I was so thankful I brought food and water. I also suggest for people to just go into it expecting to get all 265 so when it doesn't shut off at 75 you're not let down or end up starving! I took 3 breaks and ate a snack lol
