I passed my Nclex on the second attempt!! I'm so excited to finally become an RN. So let's cut to the chase.

I graduated in May 2015 and I schedule my test for the last week in June. I only used Hurst to study with. I did the 3 day live review and completed the q reviews on their website. I went through some emotional and personal issues during that month of preparing for the nclex. So really I did not give my prep time 100%. I strongly advise you not to go into this test with personal issues like I did. Personal issues would be marriage, divorce, death, accidents etc.

I'm telling you I went into the nclex and I took 260 questions and still ran out of time. I could not focus.

Ok ok operation lets become a RN In full effect! After the test I did the Pearson trick and of course I got the bad pop up, which is, the card decline! Thats if you don't have any money on your debit or credit card. If you have money on your credit/debit card, im sure they would charge you. I cried for 30 minutes and afterwards I said oh well. I still had a little hope so I waited the 48 hrs and purchase the quick results and of course it said Fail!! So I just laugh. I took a break for a week to just relax.

I scheduled my exam exactly 45days after my exam. So I roughly had about 5 weeks to prepare again. The only thing I used was these 3 things.

1. Ncsbn. I used this for about 3 weeks. I didn't do any questions from no where but this website. These people are the makers of the nclex. I did not use this prep for their content I used it only for their questions. There questions are tough but it forces you to critically think!

2. Content review- I used Remar review!! It's 100 percent the best. Easy to read and remember. I also looked on there YouTube channel and watched All of there free content.

3. Kaplan 2015-2016 premier nclex review book. I used this book the last week going into the test. This book breaks down how to break down the question and how to understand what the question is asking. It also had a 265 practice test questions at the back of the book! Make sure you do it after you have understood the content that they talk about. Out of 265 I only missed 56 questions !! I also went online and did the online practice test and made a 75.

I felt confident going into the test. Majority of my question were select all that apply!! I did not freak out! I stayed calm. When I got to the 75th question, I told my self that this is the last question. I click submit and the computer shut off! Blue Blank screen. My heart start beating fast. But I calmed down and smiled and said I passed. I did the Pearson trick. I got the good pop up. I waited the 48 hours and purchased the quick results and that day was my birthday!!! I became a RN on my birthday.

Look people we got through the hard part which was Nursing school. The nclex is easy. Don't think to much in to the question. Set up a schedule and go for it. Also I prayed night and day. All God be the Glory. I told him that I wanted to become a RN on my birthday and God made it happen along with my faith.

I really hope my story has been beneficial to you all. I hope that the way I prepared for the NCLEX will also be beneficial to you all to.I cant guarantee that the what I used will help you, however, I told my two friends about the way I studied and they are doing exactly what I said to do and used what I used. So once I hear from them that they passed. I will update you all!!

Thanks and remember Nursing school is over!!!
