Passed NCLEX PN!

Published

I am so excited! I took the nclex pn for the first time through the military program code. My initial intention was to take the test and not to necessarily pass the test but to see what I needed to work on. Needless to say the test was a ***kicker, I honestly thought I failed, but come today I find out that I passed... don't know by how much but I'm fine with that. I was wondering if there any other service members out that are medics and have used the special military program code to be eligible for the NCLEX and have taken the exam?

Nice I hope to accomplish that one day!

I am currently enlisted as an Air Force Medic (4N0) and have challenged the NY Board of Nursing and they accepted my application to take the exam. However, when I try to register to take the NCLEX, they ask for a program code. Do you know what the code is or where I can find it out? What branch did you serve in? I looked all over their website and couldn't find anything related to the military at all. I am going to email the NY Board of Nursing, but I'm not sure when they will reply. I am currently deployed on my way home in a week and would like to take the exam as soon as I can after I get back. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!! Congrats on passing your exam!!! :) I think that this is a great opportunity for all of our medics in all the branches, especially since they're combining our initial training throughout the branches! Thanks again!!!

What is the military code for the nclex pn?

Specializes in Military medicine, challenged MI LPN.

Here is the website you are looking for I think. I just used it and I was a Navy Corpsman who went to school in Great Lakes, IL- look for SPECIAL MILITARY EQUIVALENCY.

The website is: http://nursing.illinois.gov/PDF/ProgramCodeChanges.pdf

This was really hard to find, and this process has been pretty complicated. Let me know if there are any questions!
