Greetings future RNs,
I wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to Palomar’s LVN to RN program in 2022. I completed Palomar’s Transition course, finished all my prerequisites, have my General AA degree, and also passed the TEAS exam. It has been a long arduous road to this point of my journey. Good luck to all of us who applied. I understand Palomar only accepts LVN-RN bridge applicants on a as “a space available” basis. If you have made it this far, I just want to send a big congratulatory hug your way!! Please share your journey.
When I wrote my original post, my intention was for those who applied to Palomar’s Bridge program application period of 2022. ??♀️
Anyway, I wanted to share an update to my RN journey. ? I received an email from Palomar’s Bridge program a few days ago and that they’re evaluating my application.?? They’ll be reaching out again, hopefully within a few weeks.?
Remaining prayerful and trusting in the Lord. He will make a way!??

Hi!
So proud of you!
Do you have any updates! Im renewing all my 3 prereq's (10yrs) I left palomar in 2012 and I am barely returning to transition. I've been an LVN for 11 years now, need to upgrade....I will finish in 3 semesters.... :(
Hi julielie47,
That’s wonderful that you returned to complete your journey of becoming a Registered Nurse. I know you can do it! ?
As for the update, Palomar is not accepting any LVNs for their Bridge program this application period. It’s is, what it is?. I’m not giving up though. Keeping my eyes on the prize, no matter how blurry my vision gets at times☺️?.
That's how I felt 10 years ago when I had all my stuff done, they didn't have it a couple semesters when I was ready. Got caught up with work and had kids bla bla.....now all expired in 3 classes haha. Maybe we will end up in the same cohort if I'm able to work park time I may be done sooner than 3 semesters ! I saw miracosta has hybrid anatomy and physiology classes with lab ! Not sure if palomar would take these . Sad they're not accepting snyone this term . My sister in law just started the traditional one last week.
San diego city college seems a good option too? But I live in the north county.
