Ohlone College Fall 2015- Spring 2016

I just emailed the director today asking.

I sent an email asking and I was told that the lottery list and letters would be coming in mid-may, so I guess we just have to wait.

Did you apply to chabot as well? I saw your post there too... where else are you waiting to hear from? I assume you are local (Bay area) applicant?

Oh ok thank you for the info! I did apply to chabot and got the letter about the teas. Did you? I also applied to usf(my top choice) although I might be getting a rejection letter today since someone got there's and most acceptances were last Friday and Saturday. Then csueb, long beach, and a cc in SoCal called saddleback. I will definitely choose ohlone over chabot even though I do attend chabot right now. Although I'll take anything at this point. What about you?

I applied to CCSF and didn't get in. I'm in the top applicants for CSM so sent my TEAS and waiting for response, so I think my chances are pretty good.

Why do you prefer Ohlone over Chabot? I really like Ohlone's program but don't know as much about Chabot so Ohlone would be my first choice amongst those two, but at this point, it's more like wherever I can get in. LOL

but I can't remember exactly what happened that prevented it!! As for chabot vs. ohlone I just have heard so many bad things about the chabot program that I would rather do ohlone over.

Yes, I receive an acceptance email yesterday around 1pm. I'm actually declining my spot so I'm sure someone will move up the waiting list. StephH11, did you hear from Chabot?

I don't know if you have a preference of when to start the program, but at Chabot you'd start in the fall, and if you got a spot at Ohlone, it would be for spring right?

I think you may be called in for spring (I just declined so you should be number #9 on the list or maybe even higher up if others declined as well) but it is uncertain. People have until the 15th to either accept or decline so I'd check back with Ohlone sometime next week to see where you stand on the waiting list.

If Chabot offered you admission for the fall, that'd be more certain and probably a better choice if you want to graduate sooner.
