NYU Fall 2017 ABSN

Hi!

I also applied for the NYU FALL 2017 ABSN program! I only applied to NYU so far because I really want to get into NYU. My undergraduate GPA was 3.2 and so far I only took 4 prerequisite AP 1 (B+), PSY (B+), Nutrition (A) and Statistic (A). Taking AP 2, Chemistry now AND Microbiology in summer. I submitted 3 letter of recommendations from my jobs. I been working in Health related field for 4 years. My only worry is that I still don't have the grades for those remaining 3 courses.

I think you have a good shot! I think your other grades may hold you up until you finish the rest of the courses. Just keep them updated on your progress.. I am in the middle of finishing a Microbiology course and I just sent them a progress report on my first 2 tests.. haven't taken the midterm yet. Sounds like you are on the right track!

How do you update them on the progress?

They told me they will start sending out response starting April 1st. I'm nervous!

Thanks for the advise! I m going to start doing that to show them I really wanna get in to the program. Let's hope we both get in!

pharmacy tech for 6 years and i am getting my BA degree this fall so far my gpa for my BA degree is 3.161

I think your experience will be a huge help, like weve said before too, they definitely look at you holistically, personally, I have a C in Chem I and Chem II and am retaking microbiology now because i got a C the first time I took it. I am hoping for the best with my healthcare experience and strong recommendation letters!
