Hello, all....
New to this site. Wanted to start a current thread to share experiences between those of us who are planning to apply to an accelerated bsn program. I am in the NYC area and have about 3 pre reqs (A/P II, Microbiology and Nutrition) to go before I apply. I have yet to take either the HESI, or TEAS V tests ( an additional source of stress), but have done fairly decently with regard to all pre-reqs taken so far (my lowest grade has been an A-).
I am thinking about NYU, Lehman, and Suny Downstate....
Any prospective students care to weigh in?
Any current students at any of the above schools care to offer any suggestions???

I went to the SUNY Downstate open house back in October. I'm guessing they have the cheapest tuition of the schools you mentioned and the program is extremely competitive, 500 applicants for 60 spots. I would go there If I got in. What about Hunter? It seems like it's in a better part of town and would also be low in tuition. It seems like everyone has complaints about the organization of nursing schools, wherever you end up.

I'm so glad you started this thread. I am actually in the process of applying to my Accelerated programs and in the middle of wrapping up my Pre-reqs at BMCC. I have APII, Psych, and Nutrition to take. I made the incredibly wise decision to take Micro and AP I at the same time this semester ... with stats.
I recently found out about the TEAS V requirement for Downstate too. So I will take it before the month of December is over. Keep in mind that the deadline to take the test for this round of applications is DEC 31.
I am attracted to Downstate and Hunter for the cheap tuition since I went to an extremely expensive undergrad. However, I am also applying to NYU, and CNR. Do you know if Lehman will award an accelerated BSN? I think the accelerated program may just be an AA degree.
