2014 Nursing student

Could someone please explain to me who would be considered ancillary staff? Our instuctor told us that Registered Nures will have ancillary staff reporting to us. Are Ultrasound and X ray tech ancillary?

    if by reporting they mean people who are working under your supervision, then no, people in other departments are not ancillary. If by reporting they mean people who share care of a patient and must give you a report on what they have/are doing then, yes. they are included. I include everyone who is not a nurse, even though only a few actually are supervised by me.
