Nursing School

Nurses Career Support

I currently do not have any nursing license. I am looking into going back to school to obtain one. Is there any online schools to take? I reside in Central Illinois. I also heard that there are some hospitals that will pay for your schooling and you have to sign up for 2-5 years to work for them after you are done. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have recently decided to go back to school for nursing myself. The best thing to do is fist pick the school you want to attend. Then contact the nursing admissions office and set up a meeting with them. They can tell you a lot. What it takes to get into the nursing program. What grants there may be available (financial aid will know more in this area). And what scholarships might be available. The university I have chosen has told me that there are 2 local hospital systems (one non-profit and one for-profit) that have scholarships available. The non-profit hospital has different agreements as to what they pay for as to how long you are contracted to that hospital system. Basically the more they cover of your schooling the longer you work for them. I personally will be taking them up on the offer.
