Nursing School Application Essay Help

I'm currently an undergrad student, trying to get into an accelerated nursing program. The required essay has a 250 word requirement, and I was wondering if anyone had any good tips on how to best express my desire to be a nurse and my personality in only 250 words? I find it's almost more difficult than writing a longer essay, especially trying to fit in everything I want to say without sounding too choppy or disjointed.

Also: is it a good idea to use humor in the essay? Or not worth it with such a small word limit?

Here's the prompts that were given: Please tell us about what led you to the decision to apply to this program, what qualifications and traits you possess that will help you to be successful, and how completing this program will meet your professional goals?

Thank you so much in advance! :)
