Nursing Program Interview!

Hello!

I have an upcoming nursing program interview next week and I wanted to see if anyone has pointers, or examples of possible questions I should be able to expect!

Thank you!

If you use the search feature here and put in "nursing school interview," you'll get quite a few topics with some sample questions. I'd also assume they are going to ask you why you want to be a nurse and have a great answer that also tells them why you'll be a good nurse.

My advise would be to practice answering questions on the fly. Record yourself to see what little behaviors you do that look bad during an interview (fidgeting, using um all the time, weird gestures, odd faces, etc). Recordings help you become very aware of what you look like to others.

Otherwise, make a list of your strengths, weaknesses, and examples you can use in answering questions. Things like a mistake you made (that you fixed), a time someone complimented you, a time you dealt with a difficult situation, etc.

Make sure you research the program itself. What are its values and missions? What are some of the future projects in development? Figure out what you have that makes you their ideal student by using their mission statement and current/future projects.
