Nursing Informatics?

  • Columnist

I'm a professor of nursing and I love healthcare informatics (the collection, analysis and use of data, and the transformation of data into knowledge to support patient care). As you may know, the AACN has published new competencies for nurses in informatics (domain 8). Informatics competencies include using Artificial Intelligence, medical devices (like smart pumps and CBG checks), health literacy tools, and EHRs. I am curious as to how competent YOU feel about informatics. I'd love to get your input - this survey offers a chance to win an Amazon gift card and only takes about 5 minutes to complete. Let me know if you have any questions about informatics and thank you in advance! Survey link: https://redcap.link/informaticssurvey.

Love how you are doing research on the competency of nurses and informatics! I recently switched into the field of informatics, and I love it so far! Best of luck on the research!
