Hi! Its my first time to ever work abroad, I'm wondering what is the usual uniform of NZ nurses in a nursing home or hospital because I'll soon be packing my things and not sure what type of uniform to bring along. I would be very grateful for any response.. I also hope to have some information regarding nursing in NZ... Thanks again!!!

Don't worry ............. uniforms are supplied by the employer whether you work in nursing home or hospitals. Uniforms range from blouses, and quilottes, long pants or skirts, dress, polo shirt (depending where you work) etc etc. You will need to purchase your own shoes - according to workplace health and safety standards. Enjoy NZ!
Thank you! Will they be supplied immediately before the first day of work? thanks again!
If you are starting work with a hospital, you would usually have to attend orientation and some mandatory education sessions including especailly the component to do with Treaty of Waitangi. Orientation includes the uniform room also. You don't have to wear uniform to orientation.
If you are working for aged care, then your employer will advise you when you can pick up your uniform or come to some kind of arrangement about what you can wear until you get one.
