Nursing dress code

Don't worry ............. uniforms are supplied by the employer whether you work in nursing home or hospitals. Uniforms range from blouses, and quilottes, long pants or skirts, dress, polo shirt (depending where you work) etc etc. You will need to purchase your own shoes - according to workplace health and safety standards. If you are starting work with a hospital, you would usually have to attend orientation and some mandatory education sessions including especailly the component to do with Treaty of Waitangi. Orientation includes the uniform room also. You don't have to wear uniform to orientation.

If you are working for aged care, then your employer will advise you when you can pick up your uniform or come to some kind of arrangement about what you can wear until you get one.
