Nursing Central

I want Nursing Central for my ipad for school but their cost is pretty steep to say the least. 160 dollars for a year? Seriously? Does this thing cook me breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well? Is it worth it? What is the cost after the first yr to renew? Anyway I can get a discount???Any and all advice/experience is appreciated.

We had to purchase nursing central and an iPod touch for nursing school. It's a 2 year subscription and yes, it is expensive but I loved it and it made looking up all of my meds a dream. One of the best features is that you can keep a searchable file of all of your meds online. It is a little cheaper to renew once purchased. It cost me 125 for another 2years. Another nice thing is once you buy it you can download it to multiple devices. It also does more than meds you can look up labs, disease processes and other things as well. There are also great pictures and it also gives you pronunciations of medical terminology. Once it expires you still get to keep the app with everything on it. You just don't get the updates anymore. I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions let me know.

We were told to get this when we started last January and I'll tell you it is absolutely wonderful. I have it on my Droid phone and other classmates have it on their IPhones and IPads. Numerous times during clinical I have used this and it's much more convenient then lugging around a drug guide, tabers dictionary, and our diagnosis book. Type in what you want and vala! I would recommend this to any incoming nursing students. I actually bought mine in our college bookstore. It's well worth the money IMO.

We had to buy this for either iPhone or iPod Touch for our program and I use it almost daily for homework and all the time during clinical. Steep price, yes, but definitely worth the money.
