NICU pros and cons

I'm a nurse with Adult med/surg and Adult PCU experience. I'm now looking at changing career paths into pediatrics and have always been interested in NICU.

My daughter was born at 30 weeks and spent some weeks in the NICU. The care she received the education provided to me by the NICU nurses was a big influence on my decision to go into nursing.

Before I take the plunge and apply for a NICU residency, I would like to know, what it's really like.
