I figured I would post a new thread the current fin aid thread is long. Starting this fall, you can borrow up to your COA through the GRAD plus loans. Up until this year they were only for parents, you can now take them out for yourself. They are pretty much just additional unsubsidized federal loans. The nice part is they do not care about income or jobs you only need an endorser if you have adverse credit history. It meant an extra 19,000 from federal loans for me.

And if one needs an endorser, where would a person find one? I DO have adverse credit history which is secret. I certainly would not inform my parents or ask them to endorse a loan. In fact, I wouldn't ask ANYONE to endorse a loan, because that's just unnecessary stress on the endorser and generally a very, very, very bad idea.

The general consensus is "NEVER co-sign a loan". Well, now what?

I will definitely need additional loans over the traditional Federal Stafford loans and I will need an endorser. How am I going to find one? I'm not going to ask friends or parents to do this. Are there private companies or businesses that WILL endorse a loan?

The general motto is "money should not prevent people from going to school". Yeah right. If I cannot find a private endorser, I'm not going to be able to go.

If the CRNA program is 30 months, how do we apply for a private/alternate loan

1) Do we need to calculate Cost of education/attendance for 30 months and apply for the lump sum amount as loan

OR

2) Do we calculate the COA for each year and apply loan for first year then again apply for the send year.....

Please advise and thanks in advance.
