new grad to OR

Hello, im a new grad who got lucky and scored my first job in the OR. So far, so good and i really love to scrub. Im wondering if it would b weird for me to go back to surgical tech school... Would this be beneficial or a waste of money and time? Would this make me a better OR nurse r should i take a different route? thanks anything helps

Stick with being an RN. Where I work we have RN's that also scrub in. They get the short end of the stick as they have to do 2 jobs. It works against them some days as they run from one case where they are being an RN.. and have to go right to another case and scrub in after some other nice employee opened up all the supplies and simply threw them on the back table.

I'd stick with the RN degree too. You can always scrub as an RN, there's no need to return to school to become a Surg Tech. There are a lot of resources out there. I'm new to the OR too, and I've just taken upon myself to learn about the role of the Surg Tech.
