NEW GRAD Interview tips

Hi guys! I'm new to this site. So far, I've loved reading people's kind comments to each other, helping each other through the nerve wracking wait for the results! Glad everyone's kind enough to share their input. Anyone out there graduating this year and have started looking for jobs to apply to? And would anyone who has gotten a job offer like to offer some interview tips to us newbies? What kind of questions/ scenarios have they asked you?

Thanks in advance :lol2: !

Hey,

I'll graduate this April and I just had a couple interviews, one for a small hospital in Winnipeg and one for the hospital in Thunder Bay. The interview for Thunder Bay was a panel interview so I had 5 people asking questions. They mostly asked for clinical examples like " give an example of when you had to demonstrate quick thinking " " tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult patient". A lot of the questions they asked were from the RNAO example interview questions. The hospital in Winnipeg was just a phone interview, but she mostly asked me about where my clinical placements were and about my volunteer experiences (I volunteered at clinics in India and Africa over the summer). At the end of the interview she offered me a job, but I'm hoping to move to Toronto. I don't know if I'll even get an interview there though :S

Teamwork, coming to work on time and dont mind cleaning poop if needed.
