nervous about state

So my DON just texted us about handing out pill because STATE is here inspecting us. My question is I cannot go becuse I have to care for my husbands grandma and at her home right now so I cannot go. Please guys pray for us, what do I say when my DON asks why I didn't turn up for the meeting in 3 hours. I cannot go because if I do that means I will only get 3 hours of sleep and to me that's like driving drunk in other words I cannot take care o fmy patients like I should

Any suggestions?

    Tell her you had only 3 hours sleep and did not consider it safe for you to be there. Patient safety is always a priority. And yours, of course

    Your job actually cannot demand that you come in upon demand....... just admit that you have a prior commitment..... they will have to contact you on your work time...
