nephrology NP

Just wondering if anyone is pursuing nephrology as their NP specialty, or perhaps may know someone who already is one. Please share any experiences, advice or words of wisdom.

Hi there ! :)

We have a WONDERFUL nephrology NP who assists our Medical Director (nephrologist) by making bi-weekly rounds to the outpatient dialysis clinics in our area. She checks in with all our patients, and addresses not only their needs, but our concerns as well.. she writes orders right then and there for any issues we might have regarding our patients. She is truly a Godsend. Before she came on board, we only had our nephrologist, who is two hours away, and only visits the clinic once a month.

I don't know what esle she does in this field, but I will be happy to ask her if she would be interested in responding to your request for info.

If you wish, pm me with your email addy, and I shall pass it on to her, so that she can communicate with you.

Hope this helps !
