I started preparing early. I went the ADN then BSN route, I made sure that my GPA was close to a 4.0 because I had reseached and knew how very competitive schools were. I shadowed CRNAs to make sure that it was going to be something that I really wanted to do and was in love with; because you have to give up your entire life for 24-28 months! I also researched all of the schools in my state and decided to apply everywhere. Just sitting through the interviews helps you to get prepared (often times people are not accepted thier first try). Also as far as work I always volunteered for the sickest, hardest patients to help gain as much experience as I could. I thought about possible questions they would ask me and replayed them over and over in my head. I also researched alot of info from the aana website, polictical issues, standards, history, etc... You can't know too much! Also the GRE sucks so start studying early, I found it diffucult because the material was so boring! Hope this helps if you have any other q's let me know!
