Need advise

Specializes in ER, ICU, Nurse Manager.

Hi everyone, I haven't posted here in quite awhile. I need some advise from my fellow nurses. I became an ER nurse at a level one trauma center right after graduation and stayed there for 2 1/2 years and then went on to become a RN Case Manager for home health mainly for better hours. Well I was recently contacted by a nurse recruiter who found an old resume of mine on Monster, well he wanted me to apply for a position on the air force base and with me being prior service, he thought I would be perfect. Well I was told I was "highly qualified" for the position, but it got shot down by the contractor officer b/c I did not have a BSN. Need less to say that made me angry, so I enrolled in a RN-MSN program thru UOP that same day vowing never to be turned down for that again. Anyway, one day I want to be in management or admin, so my question is should I go back to the hospital since I only have 2 1/2 experience in a hospital or should I stay where I am. I don't want to hurt my chances by staying in HH or will it hurt me at all. When I am done with school in about 3 years, I will have a BSN and master degree in nursing, business admin, and health care admin. Help!!!

Thanks,

Rachel
