Has anyone used Learning Ext NCLEX review from the NCSBN? Im trying to see if Im ready to take the RN NCLEX. Im scoring 60-70s on the the 1st try through the exams and 70-90 the second time through the questions. These are harder than Kaplan. I did Kaplan and failed on my 1st try on the NCLEX and so I wanted something closer. I feel Kaplan's questions are really outdated and didn't seem like what I saw on my test day. Kaplan worked great for my LPN a couple years but now its not the same in my opinion. Their new book says NCLEX 2012. So how do I determine if Im ready based on NCSBN's prep course? Anyone with any experience with this site please help. Im nervous.

I did the 12 week course and it helped me pass NCLEX. I was scoring in the 60-70 range too and was nervous it meant I was doing poorly. But I had success where it mattered. However, I did take mine in 2012.

I agree with you Phillip. I did Kaplan and Hurst together I didn't pass on my first try. Now I am going to sign up for the 5 weeks NCSBN course. Kaplan was totally outdated. I had some of the RN qbank questions on my LPN qbank. I thought to myself this is totally outdated. It helped me for my LPN but not my RN

I am also doing the NCSBN course and scoring 60-70%. Although I am not done with the question bank, I have only gotten above 75% once or twice... Not sure what this means in terms of my potential success...or failure...

I have actually tried it. I did it for the 2 weeks (14 days) and I found the questions to be more challenging than the ones I have been taking for instance ATI and Saunders. They give you test taking tips in the rationale also you can't move on unless you make a 70% or above. I haven't took NCLEX yet I'm awaiting for my ATT. So if it helped me or not I can't say just yet. It's a 150 questions diagnostic test you have to take first. I thought it was pretty reasonable on price. If you do decide to take mysuggestion to you is if you have more time pay for the one that is longer that 14 days because it's a lot of information and you don't have to rush through it.
