Hello guys!I am a BSN graduate in Philippines last 2009 and passed the board exam. But,I don't have hospital experience since 2012 and i've read the new policy about FENS changes here in Texas that if an applicant hasn't practiced nursing within the past 4 years will need to re-educate before being eligible.Does it mean I need to study the whole nursing program here before being qualified?Answers are appreciated.Thank you
Natzzi
Im. Not sure but my cousin is like you and she retrained for a few months. She was outpatient so less experience required anyhow I'm sure they will still accept you as long as you have a Texas license. Apply on small hospitals first like st. Joseph or a local clinic.
Thank you!I've called the BON here in Texas and they told me that i will be back to zero and need to enroll and study before taking the test. There new changes is disappointing.it's better to find another state and transfer the license here.
Where you at though? I'm from Philippines too new grad and just passed. Im in Texas now.I wish I can help. You can work part time and study associates degree in nursing then work as ADN or continue as BSN and apply for GN.
I'm here at texas now..That's good to hear, congrats.work on your nclex so you won't have any prob.in the future with those paperworks.I am planning to just take the nclex on other state and transfer it here.Hopefully everything will work out well.
Thanks.Better not take in California they don't accept new Philippines grad..right now I'm in Houston. Good luck and take care hope we meet up someday.i m applying as GN right now because I have no work experience
