Hi everyone,
Just sharing that I passed my NCLEX PN at 85 in California. I took the exam on August 3,2017 at 8AM, got the mailed result after 6 business days. I paid thru breeze on Monday and saw my name posted in Breeze after 6 business days. Now, I'm just waiting for my license card on the mail.
Few things I want to add are as follows:
1. I ended up answering #85 wrong which is a SATA question. I am 100% sure I got it wrong.
REALIZATION: Doesn't mean you got the last one incorrect that you have failed.
2. I tried pearson vue trick and this didn't give me a good pop everyone says so, I waited instead for the mailed result as I don't want to risk $200.
REALIZATION: Doesn't mean it directed you to credit card payment that you have failed.
3. Test questions are unpredictable. Mine were more of a knowledge-based questions, a nurse must know. It looks like these questions fall under easy category despite being in a SATA form. I have the strong feeling that my computer will stop at 85 as I am getting easy questions and I can't even answer it right.
REALIZATION: No one can really tell which one falls under easy or hard category. What's easy for you may not be as easy to answer for others. So please, when you think you are getting easy questions, don't ever think you are failing. Just keep on going because what you think may be easy, is the difficult ones to answer.
4. Studying is what will make you pass.
REALIZATION: Truth is, there is no really no guarantee that you will pass right after hardcore study days. However, this will give you a more chance in passing. This will prepare you by refreshing your knowledge and learning strategies which will boost your confidence in taking the exam. Believe me, it is always nice to walk in and test with some knowledge than not knowing anything at all.
5. The past few months I have not been studying so well as I have been thinking a lot of wether or not to pursue my Nursing career. I have been looking for jobs and got a lot of interviews and job offers. Came to a point that I have put so much on my plate that made me so confused and not study at all.
REALIZATION: Take one step at a time. When you're confused and tired, it doesn't hurt to cry to God and ask Him for guidance. It will not really make less of you in admitting that we need help and that we are lost. It is okay to ask "What should I do" and then that's when you help yourself too, to figure out what you really want. My prayer reached God as I didn't really have so much focus in studying. I was so distracted but I still keep on going. I cleared my head and told him clearly what I wanted and....Yes! He let me pass. I am sooo grateful for He has heard my prayer. I also believe, when it is your time, no matter how unprepared or prepared you are, it will be given to you!
P.S. Thank you allnurses. This website is my go to everytime I need to clear out some issues I have in my head when it comes to Nursing.
Have a good day everyone!

Congrats! I passed the NCLEX-PN with an 85, too! Can I add one more thing? Just because the questions are getting easier, it doesn't mean you're failing! Take each question at a time. Breathe. Focus on that moment. Focus on the question in front of you. Forget the fact that you had 8 SATA in a row. Focus on the now.
For me questions 60-85 seemed easy, so I thought I bombed.
Thank you! Congrats to you as well :) I agree with your input. Looks like we had the same feeling when we were taking our test
