NCLEX PN

Published

I've read so many of these posts in my journey so I figured I'd post something that maybe someone else can make use of.

I finished nursing school September 2016 & took my NCLEX yesterday 10/25. I got my ATT after a two week wait of submitting my application & took my test the next day. (I felt well prepared from Ati and the constant testing towards the end of school). I honestly didn't do too much drilling of questions before hand as I read most of the nclex prep books before my exit exam . I used nclex mastery app for a bit but to be 100% honest I didn't feel like the nclex resembled any prep source I used. It truly was a test of its own!

lots of prioritizing, over 50 SATA, no math, ob, and vaccinations. That's what my test mainly consisted of. I got shut off at 85 & I thought I'd feel good about that but I was in pure fear. I tried the PVT trick and got the good pop up & the next day I checked the fl BON site to see pass and my license number updated. No need for the quick results because the BON updated way before Pearson even made them available.

So my advice is don't let anxiety rule you. If you know your content you'll be fine. Don't cram 200+ questions a day in your brain and cloud the knowledge you already have! At least I didn't and it worked for me! My school used ATI a lot and I think that prepared me best. I got mainly level 2's and some level 3's in school and maintained an low A average.

My classmates called me crazy when I said I was going to test the day after receiving my ATT (as they all thought we needed weeks to prepare). But in reality if you graduate and survive nursing school YOU already did the hardest part!

GOODLUCK!!
