Multi State License Required

Hey all! I am in monitoring in a compact state- so of course, my license is currently issued as single state. As I'm browsing local hospitals job opportunities, I'm seeing lots of "multi state license required". Is this to weed out potential candidates who are in a monitoring agreement and have a single state license? Or is this just because the multi state license is most common in compact state and these are just the words they are using because they are common nomenclature now?

    Hmmm...I guess that could be a sly way of weeding out those who are in a monitoring program. Not sure. I've not noticed that when looking at local jobs in my state. I do know that a lot of hospitals and other facilities are still using agency/travel nurses and maybe that is why? Also, most work from home jobs require a compact license.
