MTSA DNP Program 2020

Hello all!

I’m applying for MTSA’s DNP program for 2020 and I was just wondering who else out there is applying?!

I have started the process. I am applying to a few other programs too. I shadowed a CRNA that went there and he said he enjoyed the program.

I am. I didnt send in my application yet but my the end of the month it should be in. Excited/nervous

That’s awesome! I know someone in the program now who said she loves it! Before I was a nurse I worked in an OR where I was able to shadow CRNAs for a while and that’s how I figured out that it is what I wanted to do! I went to MTSAs open house and the staff were all really friendly!

I am nervous as well! I just hope my stats are competitive enough to have an equal chance. I take the GRE next week. Slightly freaking out. I recently got my CCRN, TCRN, and TNCC so I feel like I have been studying nonstop ??

It was AWFUL! I even retook it to see if I could do better and made the same exact scores

Lol. Yeah it’s the worst. Most places say that a 300 is sufficient.

Have you looked at the Magoosh stuff? I liked it. I mean I didn’t like anything about preparing for or taking the GRE but Magoosh helped.

Yes! I used that along with other resources to prepare for the exam. I guess it’s really just not what I went to school for for a reason. None of that information pertains to nursing or anesthesia really lol but I guess it’s a requirement now because CRNA is now a doctorate program!

Did anyone get an email from MTSA saying they extended their deadline to June 16th? I didn't get it but a colleague did. I sent in my application early and did not know if that was the reason I didn’t get the email. Has anyone experienced this too?
