Moving to Portland

Hello,

I am moving to Portland & considering my options for nursing employment. I will have had about 1 yr of nursing experiencing in a community health/respite/ambulatory care setting prior to the move. I am considering a new graduate program at one of the hospitals, as well as possible outpatient/community settings. Any thoughts on good places to work for a (fairly) new graduate who has not yet worked in a hospital setting. Thanks so much!!!

I think Legacy Hospital has new-grad programs, as does Providence Hospital. Not sure about OHSU - it is the big research institution/hospital in the area - I work there, it's great! I think they have an internship program... check out the local hospital websites for more info. Hope this helps.

:D
