Moving to NC-Nursing program advice

I'm moving to the Raleigh area in spring and I'm having trouble selecting a school. Not sure if I should just go for a University or a Tech school since I will be out of state. I've finished most pre-reqs just need a native to point me in a good direction!

I'm currently enrolled at Wake Tech (cc) and from what I have noticed thus far, because the school is so very large, you have plenty of options when it comes to scheduling your pre-nursing courses. They just spent a lot of money on new facilities for their health sciences program, and I am super excited to be able to use them in the spring. As far as cost is concerned, they are far less expensive than some of the tech schools in the area, even if you wind up paying non-resident tuition rates. (And then there's Watts over at Duke... if it wasn't so darn expensive!!!) It is definitely worth attending an information session to see if you feel like their program is for you. Check out several schools, though. For me, I know that I get out of my classes what I put in. Because admission to the actual nursing program is extremely competitive (you start as pre-nursing and then must apply to the nursing program for the core NUR classes and clinicals), it really pushes you to do your best from the get-go. For me, I think Wake Tech offers the most bang for my buck.

Welcome to the area!! We've been here two and a half years, and this is most definitely home now. It's a great place to live!!!
