Minimal Experience

I graduated from nursing in 2009, passing my NCLEX in Sept. 2009. Due to some family obligations, I was only able to work part-time on a med-surg unit for one year. I am now in a postition to return to the nursing profession but fear that the time lapsed and my minimal experience will be an issue for me. I have been working in a unrelated nursing profession in the meantime.

Any advice?

Hospitals will look more favorably on your application if you are able to take a Nurse Refresher course. I think you can locate them through your State's BON.
