how far are clinicals?
My LPN program is 15 months. 4 semesters, each 15 weeks long. It will be evenings. First semester 4-10 and the last three 4-10. Any nurse or nurse student that did evening classes, how many times a week was clinicals and how long? The main thing im concerned about is how far clinicals are. Are they between a 15-20 mile radius or even longer? There are many hospitals close to us because we have like 4 citys each only like 5-10 minutes away. I just really don't want to travel 45 minutes or longer away because gas money:( im poor.

nursing school clinicals?
I have a question about nursing school clinicals. I will be taking evening classes(M-F 6-10 for first semester and the rest 4-10). Are the clinicals done at the school or somewhere else? and when its at a hospital or wherever how many hours are you there? and during the week, how many days of the week do you go to outside clinicals? everyday? it also said I'll have saturday clinicals, so i dont know if thats when i'll do them or not. thank ya!

nursing school?
Im starting nursing school in a month. I was always book smart, as long as I study I do fine. But common sense, hahaha not to smart with that. But my question is what is the hardest part of nursing, the books or the clinicals? what was the hardest clinical you had to learn? Im thinking, catheters and IV's? I just hope I have enough common sense to do the clincials! lol. Do they give you little or alot of practice? thanks !

nursing school question?
I'm starting the lpn program on November 22nd, and im so excited!! My curriculum says 4 of my nursing classes are clinicals, so what is that like one clincial class a semester? The clinical classes are Nursing and Universal Needs, Nursing related to Health Deviations 1, Nursing related to Development Needs 1, and Nursing related to Health Deviation 2. I was trying to figure out online what you do in each course, but couldn't find out. Does anyone know? I know it probably sounds stupid but im just curious! are the clinical classes harder than the book classes? thanks!!

does anyone have a very general idea of what an LPN does on the everage day?
I will be starting nursing school in the spring. Before I pay for school, I would like to know what a lpn does. Your answer's can be as long as you want, I really want to be informed. What exactly do you lpns do in a nursing home, home care, or doctors office? Im pretty positive I wont be working at a hospital. Please give me examples of morning and evening shift. Thank you!!!

what makes nursing school so hard?
I will be attending a technical college this summer and will be a pre-nursing student(taking generals only) until im accepted into the clinicals because of the wait list. So I won't be taking any nursing classes until a year or so. Will taking all the generals this year and the nursing classes next year make college easier for me? A lot of people say what makes nursing school so hard is the amount of course work and little time to study..is this true? Or what else really makes nursing school so horrible? I really want to be a nurse so I would appreciate all the information and tips about nursing school! thank you so much for whoever replies. :)

I want to be a nurse but is nursing really that horrible??
Hello fellow nurses. I really want to become a licensed practical nurse. I could start this fall or sooner for a lpn class at a vocational school. I'm kinda scared. Im pretty good at school, 3.0 gpa so the tests wouldn't be my problem maybe just the clinicals. My boyfriend who is a certified nursing assistant said to become a lpn. He said it really isn't that bad. He said all they pretty much did at the nursing home he worked for was pass meds, paperwork, and IVS. I know there will be more than that. I am a very sweet person and I love helping people. Blood and guts wont kill me, im just scared about giving IVs because what if I do it wrong. i just really want to know If nursing is really all that horrible as people say! Please fellow nurses help me out. I figure I could at least try as an lpn and if I absoutely hate it, I could change my career. Please help!

I want to be a nurse..what is it like?
Hello. I am a senior in high school and will graduate in may. I was accepted to this business college and was going to go because I need money. But when i thought about it, I cant just go to this college and have no interest in these courses just because I need money, I need to enjoy my career. So I wanted to do health care, like nursing. I've always wanted to be a nurse. There is this career center not a university where I can go for one year and become a lpn. Im kinda scared. I really dont know if nursing is for me. I love helping people but I need to know what it is like. The bad and the good. Is it really tough and hard? Please, nurses tell me everything about being a lpn. Im not worried about the homework in nursing school, but what about the clinicals? Is it hell being a nurse because I heard so. Just tell me exactly what its like being a nurse. Thank you so much to those who respond!

what is it like being a nurse?
Hello. I narrowed down my career choice to lpn or surgical technologist. I really want to be a nurse but I need some information. I have heard that nursing school and being a nurse is hell. That is what is stopping me. Could you please tell me what it is like, really like, being a nurse. Like what do you to daily basis? In hospital settings, nursing homes, home health services? I really want to know what exactly do lpns do. Is it really horrible and tough? Also, what is nursing like? and the clinicals? and the last thing, what is the base pay or hourly pay? I live in ohio at a smally city. I live in middleport ohio which is close to gallipolis, athens, and parkersburg west virgina. Thank you very much if you answer!:)
