Medication Error Paper help

this is my first post. i am writing a paper on med errors and I have no idea where to start or what to research, or how to organize this paper. what could be different topics related to the scope of this paper? I have 2 days and I need 8 pages. PLEASE HELP.

What is the actual assignment?

I would start by narrowing down the topic to something pretty specific. For example, you could write about how bar-coding for medication administration has decreased errors.

Then, I would utilize your school's subscription to online nursing journals to find some recent evidence based articles. If you don't know how to do this, talk to the library.

i have narrowed my topic down to focusing on the "nine rights of med. administration." I think I am going to touch on individual and system factors that contibute to each type of error specifically, risk factors, consequenses and interventions. What do you think?

oh, yes, I am using my library. But I get sucked into the vortex of information overload...

When we wrote our research papers, we were told to do some research first before picking a topic. Have you found enough articles to support this topic?

I thought their were only six rights?
