I'm applying to MCV in Richmond, VA in May when I finish my organic chemistry. Has anyone interviewed there?

If you mean MCV to be the VCU program, I can tell you that a good friend of mine did interview there. From what I understand, it was well-organized and many questions were asked with varying levels of difficulty.

Does anyone know where most of the graduates from MCV end up working? I have to assume that graduating from the top program in the country will give you an in??? If I applied to VCU, and got in, I'd have to get a virginia license...it would also be more expensive than staying in CA...how easy would it be to come back and work in CA if I was lucky enough to get into VCU?

Any advice from ANYONE would be appreciated.

I'm in my second semester at VCU. Feel free to pm me with any questions. Best of luck!

it's my understanding that it doenst really matter where you go or went to school when you apply for a job...the question is did you pass the boards? if you pass the boards you are supposed to be qualified to provide quality safe anesthesia. it's kinda like your grades, rarely does anyone ask what kind of grades you made, they want to know if you passed boards.

employment is based on facility needs more than anything else. you may have made the best grades at the number one school in the country but if you apply where there are no needs you probably wont get hired.
