MCPHS Fall 2020 ABSN program

Hi all, looking for anyone else that was accepted to/applied to MCPHS Worcester?!

Having mixed feelings, I'm really excited to get into the only program I applied to but also feeling some reservations about the program itself and wondering if it's bananas to wait and apply to Spring start programs elsewhere which I might not even get into anyway!

But also wow excited! Anyone else??

Actually I just got the email yesterday saying that my all the stuff for my application had been received and was under review and then got the acceptance tonight.

My GPA is not great I went to a CC for a few years and messed around and left it with a 2.6... I transferred to a 4 year school for Jr/Sr year and have a 3.5 here. So if they look at the two combined it's like a 3.2 or something I think? But I made up for it by getting straight A's the last two semesters in a row and getting a 93.3% on the TEAS.

Holy cow that was so fast!!! Did you apply through NursingCAS? If so, how long did it take for everything to get verified? My GPA is very similar-i got a 3.1 at undergrad with a BS in bio and then post bacc classes i have 4.0. My teas score is not the best....i didn't study that much and i got a 78.7%...i am debating retaking. i am just not a great standardized test taker. i am hoping they are the kind of school that looks past the grades and looks more holistically at the applicant taking into act experience and personal statement etc.

Didn't use CAS, applied through their portal. They verified everything within a couple days I think it was definitely pretty quick.

78.7% is still well above the average isn't it though? And yeah your GPA might have been only okay but then you had a great upswing too with the 4.0 post bacc. I think you will get in too ?

Hi there! I applied through CAS, submitted the application in mid-November and received acceptance last week. I graduated with a BS in bio as well with a 3.0. I did relatively well on the TEAS but I feel like they look much more holistically into your application than just grades and test scores!

Hey, are you going to the Worcester program by chance?

Congrats! How did you receive your acceptance? Was it on Cas, their portal, or email?

I got accepted into the Boston program! I'm waiting to hear back from other schools before I decide.
