Management clueless

 Feeling discouraged! I have been a nurse for 11 years. At this time I work in a LTC facility. Some, well most days Nurses will have 2 UNITS to care for. On a holiday weekend I had 3 admissions, an injury and other small fires. I became completely overwhelmed. I called management begging for help, reinforcements, which did not happen. I felt so bad for the Residents! They could not get the care they needed that day. I was suspended for two days because I was told it was completely acceptable to have this work load in a shift, basically implying that I was inadequate and there was no need for me to be overwhelmed! What? Really? Skilled, long term and memory care Patients (42, two units).
