LVN programs in CA

Hi everyone! This is my first thread. I currently have a BA and have taken some of my pre-req's to get into an RN program. I have done a lot of research and was considering an accelerated BA to BSN program or an RN program at a JC. I need to work full-time though and the accelerated programs and RN programs are expensive and all full-time. Also I have been trying for awhile to get a Microbiology class and it is very difficult to get in. Anyways I was considering just doing a part time lvn program. There is a school in Redlands called ABC educators that has a part-time lvn program. I was wondering if anyone has gone there or knows any information on the tuition cost? The website doesn't offer much information. I would highly appreciate any feedback. Thx

Bump for you. I am in OC and am looking for a LVN program.

Hello,

I attended the program you are questioning.

I feel i learned very little, I'm just sick about the whole experience.

My only hope is that I can pass nclex, but I have no confidence in working in the acute arena.

I have no confidence in my nursing ability at all! (actually crying as I write this)

To me the experience was a complete disappointment. Be patient with the community college programs, learn from my mistake and be patient!

If anyone knows of programs that will teach you skills in the IE, im all over it...please let me know :nurse:

hello roller coaster ride, my gf is currently looking into abc educators and we are supposed to be going to a meeting with someone from the school this friday. can you please let me know what you didn't like about the school or what the issues with the school were?? thanks very much you could email me directly at scott_gaspar(at)sbcglobal.net thank you

Hello,

Thanks,

(909) 549- 9467 name is scott, thank you very much... in case i don't answer please leave a message or text, thanks so much

nevermind, we checked out abc educators today, we ran away, seriously, no offense, but i seriously feel bad for their students. thanks very much for posting your warning about this school

I think at one time or another we all fear we haven't got what it takes to pass the NCLEX, but hopefully you'll do okay. It all depends on how hard you're willing to work for it, from beginning to end. A nursing program is like anything else in life: you get out what you put in. When you're in school it is your own responsibility to seek out the experiences you need. No one is going to just hand it to you.

I loved ABC. I loved the instructors and appreciated everything they did for me. They inspired me to do my best, and that's what got me through the program. There's nowhere else I could have gotten the personal attention and support that I needed.

Good luck on your NCLEX.
