LPN Question?

Hey everyone,

I'm currently taking classes towards a BSN in NY. I heard that after I take Meg Surg 1 & 2, I can take the LPN exam to become certified as a LPN. Is this true?? I'm scared that it's too good to be true....

It IS too good to be true ;). The rules have changed. You used to be able to do it, but the state has finally realized that, with so many programs being so different, they are not necessarily prepared to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam. For example, if your program doesn't offer Ob until the last semester, you will not have completed the coursework in time to takw the exam.
