LPN program but I'm nervous

Just joined this site today...so happy to have found it! Can anyone give some insight about rockland boces. I'm going to do the LPN program but I'm nervous about just how difficult the classes will be. I've been away from school for many years. I'm 60, and due to a recent unexpected upheaval in my life, I have to start from scratch. I've had the rug pulled out from under me and eventually want to/need to land on my feet. Any insight about what to expect will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I too just joined yesterday. I was accepted into the winter quarter for the PN program. I'm 53, had similar upheaval in my professional life. Orientation is next week, so I will find out in depth what I'm facing. Just wanted to say, "best wishes" and that you're not alone. Take care, Al

Hi. I'm in an LPN program right now. It's not as bad as you will think. My dad is an LPN and before I started he was putting stuff in my head like its too hard and what not. It's really not. I don't know how your school is like but I change classes every 5 weeks and it's a little too much at times but I just have to remember it will be worth it in the end :). My advice is to study study and study and you can do it. Just dont stress over somethings. Like I said before my school may be different from yours but in my school when we have tests, they tend to write them in NCLEX form and thats just preparing you to get ready for your state boards. Other then that it't not bad. Good luck :)
