I need some helping pursuing the Loyola ABSN program; for family reasons, this is the closest and best option available to me to pursue my dream of becoming an RN. But I am not sure if I can get in. I have a 3.0/4.0 GPA and have not taken any science prerequisites yet (planning to take these in the summer of 2008 if it's not too late).
Can somebody who was accepted into this program post their GPA (science and cumulative)? What can I do to make my application to thsi program more competitive?
Thank you all very much,
Mistry

I don't go there, but I know some people that do and I understand they are doing a rolling acceptance now. So the sooner you get your completed application with all of your completed pre-reqs in, the better. My overall with undergrad GPA was lower than yours and when I met with them, they told me that the faster I apply the better. They also received a grant for the current school year and are able to take DOUBLE the normal amount of students - so they have over 100 students this year. If that continues into next year, you will likely have a great chance.
I did not apply because I got accepted somewhere else that was top on my list. But the best thing to do would be to call and talk to someone in the office and meet with them if they will give you the time. Good luck and I hope all goes as planned!!

I went in with a bachelor's in chemistry. Solid B student all around. No problem getting in to Loyola or Rush.
