Nurses Career Support

Published

HELP! i just signed on to this site in hopes of finding my future. i am a new lpn with 3 yrs phlebotomy experience. i just found out i have no interest in being a "traditional" nurse. i am very good at vascular access, iv or blood draws. do you have to be an RN for everything in this catagory? any suggestions would be appreciated because i still don't know "what i want to be when i grow up"

I work at University of Michigan Hospital and we use LPNs on both some of the traditional floors, the raheb floor, the ambulatory care clinics, and also for the Vascular Access team. Vascular Access does all of the IV starts in the main hospital and the children's hospital with the exception of the women's floor and a couple ICUs.
