Lincoln Tech

Hi guys,

My names Mikey and I'm currently attending a University in CT. My whole life i've never really been serious about school and my elementary through high school report card always would have C's on it. Entering college I never knew what I wanted to be, but a friend told me to do a little research on nursing. I took anatomy and did horrible receiving a C- and D+ in both part 1 and part 2. But the thing is it felt mentally stimulating and the more I learned about nursing the more I wanted it. I figured if I wanted it bad enough why give up. So I took A&P once again receiving a C+ in part one and finally an A in part 2. My academic life has finally found a goal and the the c's I used to get in school are history. Now I've been getting A's and B's and nothing less.

Time had come and it was time to place my application to the nursing program of my university. I felt that I might have had a chance regardless of my rough road with anatomy. I have been solid with my chemistry courses receiving nothing less than a B in all three classes.

The thing is, as many of you have already expected, I've got denied. Like I said my whole life I've been a very mediocre student and have never tried in school. When I was in high school I've been denied to many other schools under the liberal arts major (like I said I didn't know what I wanted to be up until I discovered nursing) and I didn't really care. But being denied from this nursing program was one of the worst feelings I've ever felt in my whole life. It was the first time I put in hours of work and I was denied admittance to the nursing program I desired to be in.

This summer I'm looking at other schools. One of the Schools is Lincoln Tech for the LPN program in hopes of finding an RN program after I've completed it. My question to some of you guys is...how many of you guys attended lincoln tech? If so Do you recommend it? Was it difficult finding a job after? and was it difficult finding a bridge program to become an RN?

Any advice and comments would be appreciated!
