LBCC LVN program Long Beach city college

Has anyone been through the Long Beach city college lvn program or is currently doing the pre reqs? Looking at their pre req list from the program looks like i only have to take pharmacology and CNA course in order to submit my application. Right now I only have 3 pre reqs left to start applying to RN/ ADN programs in SoCal, but my GPA is low So and I don’t have any previous healthcare expierence so I think my only chance of starting an ADN program that isn’t private would be LATTC (la trade tech ) which goes by waiting list. There waiting list is about 3-4 semesters so while I wait I plan on doing the LVN program at LBCC which from what I see is 3 semesters.

I don’t really have any questions I guess just looking to connect with other students who are looking into the LVN program or hear information , advice from those who have done the program or currently in it. I plan to work as an LVN while in RN school, and I wont be applying to LVN- Rn bridge I’m just going to start over with RN school. My current job pays well but would never accommodate the crazy nursing school schedule so I think LVN would be good to work as 2ish days a week while in the program.

Hi, I will actually be applying for the lvn program this month, have you applied yet? I attended an info session as well which had a lot of good info.
