Late Application/NLN

:)Hello!

I am currently an undergrad at a big university (pre nursing) planning on switching to a local CC for an ADN. I made the decision rather late, and while I got all of my application materials in for the deadline (February 1st) I did not get to take the NLN by that deadline. Instead, I am scheduled to test March 1st.

The school does not have a set limit for the program, as it depends on all the factors such as faculty, clinical locations, etc.

My GPA is 3.2 (I'm bringing it up!)

I guess I'm just looking for someone who's been in a similar situation or knwos someone in a similar situation who can tell me what happened-what to expect, etc. And if I don't get in for Fall 08, Would it be smart to get all of the courses like A&P, Micro, English,etc... all out of the way so that when I do get in I can focus on clinicals and nursing lectures?

Thanks for any help!!:D

Yes, I intentionally waited an extra semester before applying with a 98th percentile NLN because I wanted every pre/co req done so I can focus purely on lecture/clinical/skills lab.

Personal decision, but I think it will pay off. Should get As & Bs in the nursing classes instead of Bs & Cs because I'll be focused on nothing but the core. Since I plan on graduate school, the GPA won't take a monster hit.
